1 DESCRIPTION OF WORK 1.1 Assessment and SAN Design Services 1.1.1 Assessment The vendor will assist in the classification of data to determine critical data candidates for replication. The scope of this Service is to provide a Storage Productivity Business Value Assessment, which will address the following areas: ? Current storage tiers and storage protection architecture and metrics ? IT process implementation ? IT, data classification and archival processes and policies Whether the review validates your solution?s performance or identifies problem areas, our objective business impact report, business case and actionable steps will help you: ? Evaluate options to reduce TCO and business risks ? Gauge IT management practices and the health of your backup environment ? Enhance business agility ? Position for growth ? Assess potential architectural changes ? Support informed decisions and set priorities ? Improve user/customer satisfaction ? Develop reportable Metrics The vendor will not provide any hardware or software products with this Service. Summary of Service deliverables: ? Service Project Schedule ? Storage Productivity Assessment Report ? Final Presentation of recommendations and findings ? Statement of Work for Data Replication Implementation (if applicable) ? Metrics used for assessment ? Service Completion Form 1.2 StorageTek 6540 Implementation The services outlined in this Statement of Work shall be known as ?Service?. This Service includes the following: Project Management ? Act as a liaison between Customer staff and Implementation team ? Publish a regular status report and project plan status. ? Document problems and issues encountered during this project. Requirements Validation ? Verify customer expectation from pre-sales activities ? Validate business requirements Solution Design & Validation ? Verify solution design from pre-sales activities ? Map solution design to business requirements ? Validate System Interoperability Implementation ? Attach to 9990 ? Implement SANtricity software ? Implement SANshare Software ? Configure Domains for Connectivity with the 9990 ? Configure LUNS Knowledge Transfer ? Basic SAN Management Software administration ? Basic Troubleshooting and Event Log Management ? MAL and Profile reporting and submission Data Migration ? Determine migration requirements ? Identify content storage environments ? Define future storage environment ? Create Migration Plan ? Develop design requirements ? Create migration architecture ? Develop test plan The vendor will perform the following tasks and provide the following deliverables to implement the solution: ? Validate hardware and software requirements ? Customize migration procedures ? Install and configure software if required ? Perform migration ? Verify migration completion ? Create report on migration statistics ? Functional Testing 1.3 StorageTek 6140 Implementation The services outlined in this Statement of Work shall be known as ?Service?. This Service includes the following: Project Management ? Act as a liaison between Customer staff and Implementation team ? Publish a regular status report and project plan status. ? Validate System Interoperability Implementation ? Attach 10 Hosts ? Implement SANtricity software ? Implement SANshare Software ? Configure existing switch to see new storage device ? Configure HBAs ? Configure LUNS Knowledge Transfer ? Basic SAN Management Software administration ? Basic Troubleshooting and Event Log Management ? MAL and Profile reporting and submission Data Migration ? Validate hardware and software requirements ? Customize migration procedures ? Install and configure software if required ? Perform migration ? Verify migration completion ? Create report on migration statistics ? Functional Testing 1.4 StorageTek 9990 Implementation In this fixed-price service, the vendor will design, install, and configure one StorageTek 9990 systems for the FAA. The services will be performed; one each of the configuration will be implemented in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The vendor will perform the following services: Brocade Switch Implementation The vendor will install and configure 1 Brocade 48k switch in Oklahoma City and Atlantic City. Installation will include the following tasks: ? Rack, power, and configure each Brocade Switch ? Migrate host?s to the new Brocade Switch ? Configure alias?s, zones, and active config on each switch ? Configure FR4- 1 8i Blades ? Test communications between Atlantic City and Oklahoma City. The FAA will be responsible for the communication line and Ethernet infrastructure. The FAA will also be responsible for the Quality of Service of the communication path. ST9990 Series Installation The vendor will install and configure one (1) ST9990?s according to the ST9990 Build Specification approved by FAA. During this phase, the vendor will work extensively with FAA personnel to ensure appropriate Knowledge Transfer occurs so that FAA is proficient on the implementation activities of the ST9990. Implementation includes: ? Volume Implementation ? HiCommand Software ? Virtual Partition Manager ? Hitachi Dynamic Link Monitor ? Universal Volume Manager ? Universal Replicator Manager ? Virtualize the StorageTek 6540 in OKC ? Virtualize the StorageTek 380 in AC ST9990 Series Installation Testing Vendor will perform a series of installation tests, according to the agreed upon ST9990 Test Procedures Plan to demonstrate that the system has been installed according to the agreed ST9990 Build Specification. It is expected that the FAA is present to observe the tests. At this time the vendor will perform a systems handover to FAA's designated staff. ST9990 Series Installation Advanced Testing Vendor will perform a series of StorageTek 9900 advanced tests to verify the reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) features of the storage system configuration and to demonstrate its capabilities. ST9900 ShadowImage Implementation Vendor will install and configure In-System Replication Bundle software in FAA's StorageTek 99XX environment according to the agreed Build Specification. Installation will include the following tasks: ? Verification of license keys and setup of the Universal Volume Manager software module in Storage Navigator WebGUI for the SE9990 ? Installation of the StorageTek ST99XX Command Control Interface (CCI) software on the designated hosts ? Configuration of control paths from the Remote Control PC and CCI software to the In-System Replication Bundle software ? Testing of the final implementation and control paths Vendor will perform a series of advanced StorageTek 99XX In-System Replication Bundle tests to demonstrate the reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) features of In-System Replication Bundle, and to demonstrate its capabilities. In particular, the advanced tests will verify correct operation of split pairs and pair re-sync under normal and error conditions. ST9900 Data Replication Implementation Vendor will install and configure Universal Replicator software in FAA's StorageTek 99XX environment according to the agreed Build Specification. Installation will include the following tasks: ? Verification of license keys and setup of the Universal Volume Manager software module in Storage Navigator WebGUI for the ST9970, ST9980, and ST9990 ? Installation of the StorageTek ST9 900 Command Control Interface (CCI) software on the designated hosts ? Configuration of control paths from the Remote Control PC and CCI software to the Universal Replicator software ? Testing of the final implementation and control paths Vendor will perform a series of installation tests according to the agreed ST99XX Universal Replicator Test Plan to demonstrate that the system has been installed according to the agreed ST99XX Universal Replicator Build Specification. The customer will be expected to sign off the installation test documentation on completion of the tests. Testing will verify: ? Correct configuration of Universal Replicator and CCI software ? CCI startup, operation, and shutdown Tape Library backup and Recovery Develop backup and recovery best practice implementation and architecture. 2 BANDWIDTH ANALYSIS SERVICES SCOPE This section defines the scope of this solution and is limited to the following: Activities: Vendor will: ? Provide Project management ? Estimation of bandwidth for in-scope replication ? Replication reporting metrics. ? Executive summary reports ? Provide expertise through best practices in a consistent and continual manner ? Enable enhancement of delivery times for services to the Customer ?
