- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Vocational Training in Computer Instruction for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful contractor shall provide classroom instruction for Computer Skills leading to a certificate of completion. The Contractor must have a Bachelors Degree, with an emphasis in Computer Science (or equivalent), or certification from a two-year Computer Technician Program. The computer applications include Word Perfect and/or Word, Data Base Management (dBase), Lotus 123, Desk Top Publishing, MS Windows and networking. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year are estimated at five (5), nine(9) week terms per year for the instruction services. One (1) term equals nine (9) weeks per subject per class. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base year with four 12 month option years for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about September 6, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about October 5, 2007. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 611420. This solicitation is 100% small-business set-aside. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
