- Description
- The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) has a requirement to purchase and install ITS implantable telemetry systems that will be used to monitor non-human primate subjects, continuously and simultaneously. The Gover nment intends to award on a sole source basis with Data Integrated Scientific Systems (DISS) to fulfill this requirement because the equipment is highly specialized, patented and licensed with DISS. DISS is the only company that can provide a telemetry sy stem for analysis of generated data from the ITS telemetry system. The ITS telemetry system must record and monitor the clinical parameters. Additionally the system must be compatible with existing (DISS) ITS telemetry systems that are currently being use d in other therapeutic studies at USAMRIID. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be aw arded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notices is solely within the discretion of the Government.
