- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE:W81GNN7233N298 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be issued. A completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications for Commercial Items must be included with the offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The Headquarters, US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) intends to award on a sole source basis wi th LEICA GEO SYSTEMS 5051 Peachtree Corners,Suite 100, Norcross, GA 30092, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(2)(b)(1), Only One Source Reasonable. INSCOM intends to acquire: (0001) Imagine Professional PN: 1375 Qty. 1 (0002) Imagine NITF 2.1 PN: 1371 Qty. 1 (0003) Imagine Vector PN: 1381 Qty. 1 (0004) Image Analysis for ArcGIS PN: 2067 Qty. 2 (0005) New Image Analysis for ArcGIS PN: 8805 Qty. 2 (0006) New Imagine NITF PN: 88019 Qty. 1 (0007) New Imagine Professional PN: 88025 Qty: 1 (0008) New Imagine Vector PN: 88046 Based on extensive market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, LEICA GEO SYSTEMS is the only sole source that sells the Erdas software. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 10:00 AM, EST, September 2, 2007 by e-mail at kzhill@mi.army.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete wi th this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Thi s contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13. In order to be considered for an award, an offeror must have completed the online electronic Representations and Certifications located at http://orca.bpn.gov/ in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) and must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
