- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propo sals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the response due date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation number is W911QX-07-T-0251. This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-18, dated July 5, 2007. This acquisition is a sole source to Honeywell International, Inc., 15801 Woods Edge Road, Colonial Heights, VA 23834 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Honeywell International, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the Goldshield and Spectrashield Fabrics. Pate nts for the fabrics are held exclusively by Honeywell International, Inc. This specific fabric is necessary for composite test work. This is for testing purposes only. The associated NAICS code is 314991. The small business size standard is 500. The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable: CLIN 0001, Goldshield GV2016 63 wide fabric, qty 1200 linear yards, CLIN 0002, Spectrashield SR3124 fabric, qty 1000 linear yards, CLIN 0003, Spectrashield SR1214 fabric, 1000 linear yards. Description of requirements: N/A Delivery is required 45 days after vendor receives order. Delivery shall be made to US Army Research Laboratory, ARL Receiving Section, Bldg 434, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, 21005. Acceptance shall be performed at US Army Research Laboratory, APG, MD 2 1105. The FOB point is Destination. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this provision: None Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -Commercial Items, with its offer.
