Description
Furnish all labor, supervision and equipment to provide armed guard service at the FAA Great Lakes Regional Office, 2300 E. Devon Ave., Des Plaines, IL, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays, in strict accordance with the contract provisions. This acquisition is open to all business types and sizes. The Contractor minimum qualification requirements include, but are NOT limited to the following. Additional qualification requirements will be specified in the solicitation. 1. Must have an established staffed business office within 50 miles of the service location. This office must have been established at least one year prior to this announcement and must be a fully functional office, involved in the daily operations of providing guard service, including, hiring and firing employees and contract administration. 2. Must have at least five consecutive years of satisfactory performance of providing armed guard service 3. Primary business must be furnishing guard service 4. Must currently possess all required Federal, State and local licenses & permits to provide armed guard services 5. Must be responsible in all respects, including, but not limited to financial, technical, management, and past performance A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated for an initial one year period of time, with 4 additional 1-year options. The projected issuance of the solicitation is Sept. 27, 2007 with a planned start date on or about January 15, 2008. NAICS Code is 561612. This notice is for information purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. The DOT Bonding assistance Program is currently being revised. Please contact the OSDBU at the number below for details. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
