- Description
- The Coast Guard will be issuing a solicitation to perform the open, inspection, report and overhaul of Philadelphia Gear Pumps, model numbers 46123R253, 46123R251RH and 46123R252LC. This will be a requirements type contract with one (01) base year and four (04) option years. The Philadelphia Gear Pumps are utilized on the 378? WHEC Cutters. This requirement will also include: (1) the overhaul/repair of model numbers 46123R253,46123R251RH and 46123R252LC. This will be other than full and open competition using the Philadelphia Gear Company only. The work shall be performed in accordance with Philadelphia Gear Company specifications, standards and recommended procedures for overhaul of the listed pumps. All parts and facilities used during the overhaul shall be Philadelphia Gear Company facilities and parts. Technical Data and/or drawings pertaining to Philadelphia Gear Company parts/services are proprietary to the OEM. Accordingly it is believed that this non-availability of technical date precludes the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center from obtaining competition as they are available from this source.
