RESPONSE NOTICE: DO NOT RESPOND TO POSTING POINT OF CONTACT DONALD ROSEBOROUGH. PLEASE ONLY RESPOND TO THE INDIVIDUALS NAME BELOW. ARGUS MISSILE WARNING TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION MEETING Sandia National Laboratories invites organizations interested in global missile warning missions and technologies to attend a briefing on the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) sponsored ARGUS study on Wednesday, 12 September 2007, at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The intent of this meeting is to inform industry on the ARGUS study, not to identify business opportunities. ARGUS is a study funded by OSD/Director of Defense Research Engineering (DDRE) to explore alternatives based on existing Sandia ?legacy? designs and technology that could satisfy a need for a missile warning ?gap filler? should such an alternative become necessary. The briefing is planned from 8:00AM to 4:30PM and will address the following topics: ? Government Team Introduction ? Legacy Program Context for ARGUS ? System Architecture Overview ? Argus Capability vs. ?DSP Equivalent? Staring System and Residual Capability ? Ground Segment Concept Overview and Trades ? Spacecraft Trades and Launch Vehicle ? Payload Overview ? Payload Design and Capabilities ? Cost and Schedule Estimate, Risk Mitigation Plan ? Government Wrap-Up The briefings will be held at the collateral SECRET level. Attendance will be limited to US citizens only, possessing a valid US issued SECRET security clearance. Organizations must provide a list of names, social security numbers and contact information for attendees to Ms. Lori A. Apodaca, Sandia National Labs, (P) 505.844.3004, (F) 505.284.1485, e-mail laapoda@sandia.gov no later than Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 5:00PM MST.
