Description
Question: Is work to be performed between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.? Answer: Unless stated otherwise the following will be followed: The majority of the cleaning at these locations shall be accomplished between the 0730 and 1700, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays, unless specifically approved by the Contracting Officer (CO) or Contracting Officer Representative (COR). II. On page 10, Number 15 the following was left out of the solicitation and is inserted as 15. B. B. ARDOYNE FARM COMPLEX (Includes Shop Building, Juice Lab and Modular Building) i. DAILY MAINTENANCE (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) ? to be performed in all rooms, offices, laboratories, corridors and restrooms ? unless otherwise indicated: 1) Floors ? Dust mop with treated dust mop or push broom equipped with treated cloth leaving no dust or debris in corners, underneath or behind doors and furniture. Spot damp mop to remove all substances such as mud, sticky matter, etc. 2) Restrooms: (a) Floors: Wet mop with a disinfectant cleaner (i.e., Lysol or equivalent). Floors shall have a uniform appearance with no streaks, swirl marks, detergent residue, or evidence of soil, stains, film, or standing water. There shall be no splash marks or mop streaks on walls, and soil shall not be permitted to accumulate along edges of baseboards. (b) Clean and disinfect all urinals, stools, and removing all spots, stains, rust, and mildew in and around structures. (c) Clean and polish all chrome and mirrors. (d) Empty and disinfect all waste receptacles. (e) Damp wipe all dispensers (towel, soap, toilet tissue, etc.) 3) Empty all waste containers into outdoor trash receptacles. Do not reuse plastic trash bags. All waste containers in the laboratories must have a clean plastic trash bag daily. Bags of trash shall not be left in passageways. Outdoor trash receptacles shall be kept closed and areas around them shall be kept neat and clean. 4) Mats in foyer areas must be swept to remove all debris. 5) Clean and polish drinking fountains. 6) Spot clean glass in entrance doors (Portable building only). 7) Check paper towel dispensers. Fill daily if needed. NOTE: Papers, books or apparatus on desks, table tops or counters shall not be removed. ii. WEEKLY MAINTENANCE (Fridays): 1) Floors: Damp mop with Lysol cleaner each week. Floors should have a uniform appearance with no streaks, detergent residue, standing water, or evidence of soil accumulation along edges of baseboards. 2) Dust and wipe all furniture surfaces including desks, tables, inside window sills, telephone counters, ledges, bookshelves, and chairs with a treated dust cloth. Dust under items such as file trays and phones. 3) Restrooms: Wash stall partitions and walls near sinks with disinfectant. iii. MONTHLY MAINTENANCE: Dust and wipe clean baseboards, door frames, and furniture legs. iv. SEMI-ANNUALLY MAINTENANCE: 1) In March and August: Completely strip oil, wax and re-wax with glossy, non-slip wax and buff. All work should be performed on weekends or national holidays. 2) In April and September: Wash all interior windows. All film, dirt, smudges shall be removed. 3) In May and October: Wash and clean fixtures disposing of dead insects. Dust and clean woodwork, high ledges. Remove cobwebs. Vacuum and wash all air vents. v. ANNUAL MAINTENANCE (March): 1) Clean cabinets (floor and wall mounted) in lab with general cleaner and wax to prevent rust. 2) Remove, clean, and hang blinds in lab. NOTE: FOR SECURITY REASONS ALL LABORATORIES ARE LOCKED AND KEYS TO THESE LABS WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE CONTRACTORS TO PERMIT DAILY CLEANING AND WASTE REMOVAL.
