Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a solicitation of Purchase Request F1W2E47187AQ01 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-19. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 336413 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. This acquisition is NOT set aside for small businesses. All responsible Contractors shall provide a proposal for the following: This is a commercial request for four (4) each F-22A Maintenance Tail Stands. These tail stands need to support 2 people (500 lbs). They shall be fabricated from steel tube. The stands must have padding to protect all edges that could make contact with the aircraft. Requires large lockable heavy-duty swivel casters. Must be towable for relocation to different hangars for maintenance. The stands must comply with OSHA and AIR FORCE SAFETY STANDARDS. The stand shall be able to elevate between 90 inches and 130 inches. Stairs shall incline no greater than 55 degrees and have a tread width of 50 inches and a depth of 18 inches. Working platform shall be 124 inches wide. All walking surfaces shall be made of expanded metal. The handrail shall be 42 inches tall with 18 inch expanded metal safety netting around the base of the work deck. The platform handrail on the aircraft side shall be adjustable between positive 10 degrees and negative 30 degrees. Retractable grounding wires shall be incorporated to allow for electrical work. The F-22A aircraft has a unique canted design vertical stabilizer and larger horizontal stabilizer that make it difficult and unsafe for maintainers to use standard maintenance stands. The stand should be able to maintain a consistent working distance from the vertical stabilizer during vertical adjustment without having to reposition the entire stand. The color shall be gray #36118. Delivery shall be completed not later than 60 days after receipt of an order and shall be FOB Destination.
