- Description
- The Postal Service plans to issue a Fixed Price Contract to replace the roof at the Suburban P&DC/VMF, 16501 Shady Grove Rd., Gaithersburg, MD 29898. The project involves removal of the existing ballast and membrane on the flat roof, replacement of wet insulation, installation of a cover board and a fully adhered membrane roof to provide a 20 year warrantable installation. Full replacement of the sloped roof systems with a pre-finished structural standing seam metal roofing system is also included in the project. Complete rework of all flashings at walls, parapets, roof penetrations and expansion joints is included in the scope of this project. The complete scope of this project is defined in the contract documents. All work is to be done in accordance with USPS approved plans and specifications. The estimated cost of the project is between $1,250,000 and $1,450,000 with construction completion within 210 calendar days from notice to proceed.
