- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the annual software maintenance renewal of the following licenses: QTY 95 - IDL UNIX FLOATING NETWORK MAINT. RENEWAL QTY 18 - IDL MAC OSX FLEXIBLE SINGLE USER MAINT RENEWAL QTY 1 - IDL OSX NS NODE MAINT. RENEWAL QTY 1 - ENVI + IDL MAC OS X NODE-LOCKED MAINT. RENEWAL. QTY 12 - IDL WINDOW FLEXIBLE SINGLE USER MAINT RENEWAL QTY 1 - WAVELET TOOLKIT MAINTENANCE QTY 4 - IDL WINDOWS NODE LOCKED MAINT RENEWAL QTY 1 - IDL PC UNIX FLEXIBLE SINGLE USER MAINT RENEWAL QTY 1 - UNIX NODE LOCKED MAINT RENEWAL QTY 2 - ENVI+IDL LINUX FLOATING NETWORK MAINT RENEWAL QTY 5 - IDL WINDOWS FLOATING NETWORK MAINT. RENEWAL QTY 2 - IDL UNIX 3-USER NODE LOCKED MAINT RENEWAL QTY 4 - IDL ALPHA VMS FLOATING NETWORK MAINT RENEWAL NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from ITT VISUAL INFORMATION SOLUTIONS being that the Interactive Display Language (IDL) Software, is exclusively manufactured, developed, and distributed by ITT. The software is already being used and only requires annual renewed maintenance. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on the closing date of the solicitation. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
