- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis quantity 2 each P/N SU320KTSX InGaAs Infrared Cameras. This requirement is sole sourced to Sierra-Olympic Technologies, Inc. in order to meet exact program requirements. The camera must have the following to meet the Program requirements: Laser energy sensitivity - wavelength of 1.064um and a noise equivalent irradiance of less than 1x109 photon/cm2/sec at the aforementioned laser wavelength is representative; to ensure adequate laser spot resolution at long range, the camera must have a focal plane array with a horizontal resolution of at least 320 pixels and a vertical resolution of at least 240 pixels; to reduce lens size for the given focal length, the pixel size should be less than 30 microns in width and height; a video update rate of 30Hz; must have only solid-state components (no vidicons or vacuum tubes will be acceptable); the sensor should not require cryogenic cooling; the camera/lens combination must meet a width/height/depth not exceeding 2.5x2.5x3.0 inches; cameras shall have digital connector providing at least 12-bit digital video (interface shall be Camera Link or RS-422 providing a data rate of at least 50Mbits/sec); to ensure connectivity with existing video equipment, the camera must have an RS-170 or NTSC video output; must have a lens mount that is compatible with Nikon F mount lenses. Any firms believing that they can provide the material may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing its ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the data or without causing programmatic hardship to the program.
