- THIS IS THE CORRECT AND CURRENT MODIFICATION TO THE ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT AND IS RE-POSTED ON 8-29-07: The National Park Service intends to issue a RFP-Request for Proposal in accordance with FAR PARTS 36 and 15 for the restoration of the North and South Galleries and Stairs of the Malus-Beauregard House located on the Chalmette Battlefield in the Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Preserve, Chalmette, Louisiana. The solicitation number is N7530070019, Request for Proposal and will be available on or about August 29, 2007 electronically at http://ideasec.nbc.gov NO paper solicitation will be issued. All questions must be emailed to sonya-armstrong@nps.gov . Two site visits will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on August 30, and September 6, 2007 at the project site, 8606 West St. Bernard Hwy, Chalmette, LA. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend one of the two site visits. You may contract Brian Strack at 504-589-2133 ext. 222 to schedule attendance. The NAICS code is 238350, Finish Carpentry Contractors and the associated size standard is $13M. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is a 100% hub zone set aside. The National Park Service intends to award a firm fixed price contract. The following evaluation criteria arranged in the order of importance shall be used to evaluate offers: 1. Past Performance in historic projects of similar scope and magnitude, 3 recent similar requirements. 2. Key Personnel for this requirement, demonstrated experience in historic building trades. 3. Cost or Price. The evaluation factors other than cost or price, when combined are approximately equal to cost or price.
