- GENERAL: This is a presolicitation notice and will not result in an award. A solicitation for this project will be posted at a later date. It is the vendor?s responsibility to check http://www.fbo.gov for any updates or changes. SET ASIDE: At this time this competitive acquisition does not contain a specific set-aside and is open to all interested parties. Any small business interested in submitting a quote for this project is to notify the project POC listed below. If no small business contacts the project POC, the solicitation will be advertised without a set aside. WORK DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide supervision, services, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, recurring inspections, maintenance and repair services necessary to maintain and repair three (3) RSS-2000 Barriers and two (2) Catsclaw tire shredders at Manchester Gate at Pope AFB, NC in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation of the security devices. The project will include three (3) types of services: quarterly inspections and preventive maintance, routine repair service calls on as-needed basis, and emergency repairs and services. AWARD DESCRIPTION: This requirement will result in a Firm-Fixed price contract, with a base year 01 October 2007 through 30 September 2008 and four option years. The successful contractor will be selected using Lowest Price Technically Available (LPTA) procedures, resulting in the best value to the Government. CLASSIFICATION: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 561621 with a small business size standard of $9 Million applies. SOLICITATION: It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 05 Sep 2007 on Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov/. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent on the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. VENDOR REQUIREMENTS: All prospective offerors must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov and in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. Registration with the CCR may be accomplished using their webpage or calling (888)227-2423. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, once the solicitation is posted and before the deadline indicated in the said solicitation.
