- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, FA217-07-T-6066, is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-02. This procurement is a 100% Small Business set-aside IAW FAR 19.502-2 (a). The NAICS code is 337215 and the size standard is 500 employees. The following commercial items are requested in this solicitation; This combined synopsis/solicitation is contingent upon the availability of funds. Quotes must be valid thru September 30, 2007. Contact Kim Woods at 719-556-8468 to attend scheduled site visit scheduled for 29 Aug 07, 9:00AM MST. Three (3) Storage Units. Vendors shall submit detailed drawings and description of each storage unit. This equipment will be used to store ski equipment. The objective is to provide a drawing and description of a unit that is capable of storing the most ski equipment in the least amount of space. The storage unit must be movable (on rails) to accommodate 1,100 pairs of boots, 500 pairs of ski poles, 700 pairs of skis and 300 snowboards with strip in bindings (105cm to 169cm). One-third of snow boards will have bindings attached when stored. The rails must be made of any durable material appropriate for the weight load of the unit and equipment and durable for the constant loading and unloading of equipment. Unit must be expandable by hand-crank. Unit must be made of a non-corrosive and durable material that is able to hold a maximum weight of 50 lbs per shelf and durable to withstand constant loading and unloading of equipment. The floor surfaces of all areas are slightly uneven. The dimensions of the areas where these units will be installed are 12ft10in x 21ft0in and ceiling is 9ft 10in; 9ft x 13ft ceiling 8ft 6in; and 12ft 6in x 7ft ceiling 8ft 6in. All dimensions are the maximum when the units are expanded. Preference in larger area is to have accessibility of two aisles at the same time. These areas have adequate lighting, additional lighting is not needed. Units must have a locking mechanism for security purposes. Vertical storage of skis is preferred. The exterior of the units must have a professional finished appearance. Color; provide color option(s) in quote. Vendor will remove and dispose old shelving that is no longer serviceable. Installation of items must be complete by 15 Nov 07. Shipping is FOB destination to building 675, Peterson AFB, CO 80914. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-2 (a)(i)(ii) Quotes will be evaluated and awarded to the offeror best design and price, factors are approximately equal in importance and will be used in evaluation of design. In accordance with FAR 12.602, the Government reserves the right to exercise trade-offs. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items.
