- The Government intends to issue a sole source delivery order to Shreveport Communication Service, Inc. [933 Stoner Ave, Shreveport, La 71101-3874] for the express purpose of maintaining uninterrupted service of the Barksdale Air Force Base Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Central Base Trunking System (CBTS), SITE LENS, Tactical Aircrew Alerting Network (TAAN), Central Base Paging System (CBPS), and CENTRACOM Control Consoles. This company has previously installed and provided all maintenance needs for the above noted communication systems. Shreveport Communication Service, Inc. has the background knowledge and experience associated with the unique local problem associated with the equipment, enhancement/upgrade, and system maintenance. Therefore, the maintenance and oversight of the equipment, that has been to date, supported by Shreveport Communication Service, Inc. may be compromised if another vendor is involved with the enhancement/upgrade, problem solving associated with the equipment, and systems maintenance of the LMR, CBTS, SITE LENS, TAAN, CBPS, and CENTRACOM Control Consoles.
