- The VA Bay Pines Healthcare System (VAHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Dictaphone Corporation to provide all labor, parts, travel and remote service to maintain the powerscribe dictation system utilized in radiology service at the Bay Pines VAHCS. To include the following: on site service on all hardware and software 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and remote electronic diagnostic service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Service to include coverage of software version 4.7 SPI, 10 work stations(SN MXL5070JCT;MXL5070JDH; MXL5070JDJ; MXL5070JDW; XL5070JFM; MXL5070JFM;MXL5070JGK; MXL5070JGQ; MXL5070JGS), Backup tape drive system and three servers (/SN SE513A8H6; USE518A0DV; USE513A8GM). To the best of our Knowledge Dictaphone Corporation is the sole distributor of this product. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334210. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (6) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Bay Pines VAHCS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Dictaphone Corporation.
