- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FEDBIZOPPS This is a synopsis for commercial service. This announcement constitutes a synopsis only. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business. VA VISN 22 Network 22 Logistics Office intends to negotiate a Commercial (FAR Part 12) Firm Fixed Price contract through a Request for Quote (RFQ) for biosecure incineration disposal of research animal carcasses for the Greater Los Angeles (West Los Angeles and Sepulveda), Long Beach, and San Diego VA Healthcare System facilities. The solicitation document with incorporated provisions and clauses will be made available on or about September 5, 2007 with responses due on September 19, 2007. The solicitation will be on-line for download as an attachment to this notice. Please check back to this site after September 5, 2007. The contract is being established for the providing all labor, containers, equipment, transportation and required reports for the biosecure incineration disposal of research animal carcasses collected from the various VA research facilities in Southern California. The contract period is projected to be a base year from award of contracts with the Government's option to renew the contracts for four (4) optional one (1) year periods. All quotes with completely submitted documents received by 4:00 PM Pacific Time, September 19, 2007, will be considered by the Government. Questions can be sent to the Contracting Officer Larry R.
