Description
The U.S. Coast Guard intends to award a sole source contract to Southwest Research Institute, 6220 Culebra Road, P.O. Box Drawer 28510, San Antonio, TX 78248 for the following: Provide preventative and remedial maintenance and maintenance training of the NOVA System. The solicitation will contain instructions for further information on this requirement. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 5 July 2007. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 1 August 2007. The anticipated award date will be 1 October 2007. Written and electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. The solicitation must be printed from FedBizOps by the contractor. This office will not mail solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Note: The proposed contract action is for maintenance, which includes, but is not limited to equipment alignment, cable testing, visual inspection, operational testing of the sites, and repair of equipment and software. The equipment consists of antennas, RF amplifiers, RF cables, RF switches, power supplies, radio receivers, microprocessor based circuitry, and data communications equipment and repair of equipment failures. The system software and hardware was designed and developed under a R&D contract with Southwest Research Institute. The period of performance is 1 October 2007 through 30 September 2008, with four one-year option periods. Correspondence shall reference request for proposal number HSCG84-08-P-AAT144.
