Description
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EMAIL ADDRESS FOR THE PROJECT MANAGER IN THE ORIGINAL ADVERTISEMENT IS NOT CORRECT. The Postal Service plans to issue a Fixed Price Contract to replace or repair the entire parking lot, driveways, and dock aprons at the Philadelphia BMC. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: Concrete pavement replacement, bituminous pavement replacement, bituminous pavement overlayment, curbs, striping, guardrails, and underground conduit. All work will be done in accordance with USPS approved plans and specifications. The contractor shall phase and coordinate the work with the USPS to minimize disruption of this 24/7 facility operation. There will be no work performed at the facility between the dates of November 15 and January 15. The estimated cost of the project is between $5,500,000 and $7,200,000 with construction completion within 730 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. Contractors must submit a Qualification Statement with their price proposal. Only the most qualified contractors will be considered. To be considered the company must be financially capable, have a minimum of five years total experience in paving work, and have completed two comparable projects within the past five years, one of which may be ongoing. Comparable projects are defined as paving projects $2,500,000 or greater. The Qualification Statements will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria stated, in the following order of preference: experience/performance and capabilities. The price proposals for only the the most qualified contractors will be considered. The Postal Service will select the offeror that provides the best value to the Postal Service. AWARD IS PENDING APPROVAL OF FUNDS FOR THIS PROJECT. The preferred method of payment is by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, or American Express will be accepted). Provide your credit card number and reference the solicitation number in your request. There will be no public opening of offers. All proposal information received is CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract. Upon award, the name of the successful offeror and the amount of the contract will be released as public information.
