Description
The government intends to issue a Brand Name Mandatory requirement for upgrade of an existing VTC system. The required brand name items shall be installed and shall be able to tie into existing VTC system. Any equal product shall meet or exceed the brand name product required. The required brand name parts are as follows: Da-Lite diagonal screen 150?, model 76730; Sharp ANSI projector, model XG-PH50X; Chief mounting plate, model SLB-107; Chief Unistrut ceiling adapter, model CMA-372; Polycom Vortex echo canceller, model EF2280; ExtronVSC500 video scan converter, model 60-476-01; Extron IN1502 input video scaler, model 60-726-01; Extron RSU129 Universal rack shelf kit, model 60-190-01; Extron DVS304 RGB scaler, Shure 18?; slimline microphones, model MX418D/C; and, programming services for the Crestron CNMSX-Pro as set forth in the Statement of Work included in the Request for Quotes N00189-07-T-0490. The referenced parts are to be programmed into the command?s existing networking system and to maintain continuity and integrity of the system, it is essential that a one-for-one replacement of components be accomplished with minimum re-programming required. This is a 100% Small Business set aside, Firm Fixed Price type contract for services (including labor) for removal, installation of associated equipment for an overhaul/upgrade of the Video Tele Conferencing system located at the Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Norfolk, Virginia Granby and Overflow rooms. Upon completion of installation, the contractor shall program the equipment into the command?s network system to ensure that the equipment is fully operational. All potential bidders are encouraged to participate in the scheduled site visit which will be held on 4 September 2007 at 10:00 AM, at the MARMC facility located at 9727 Avionics Loop BLDG LF-18, Norfolk, VA. 23511. Offerors shall submit complete drawings of the proposed layout for each room and how each component will be integrated. Drawings shall accompany the offerors? Request for Quote (RFQ) submission by the specified closing date of the RFQ. All drawings must be approved by the requiring activity before the start of installation. Work will be performed in the (Hampton Roads) Norfolk, Virginia area. The proposed RFQ N00189-07-T-0490 will be posted on or before 28 August 2007 with a response date of 07 September 2007. Potential offerors are encouraged to participate in the site visit. The desired installation date is 31 October 2007 (or before) until completion. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil or at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerors at anytime prior to award. By submitting a proposal, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. By submission of a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that the prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside of the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make the offeror ineligible for award.
