Description
This Acquisition is being conducted under FAR 13.5 test Procedures for commercial items. The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.5) with Siemens Medical Solutions, 51 Valley Stream Pkwy., Malvern, PA 19355. The Portable X-Ray system (Mobilett XP Hybrid) by Siemens is the only Portable X-Ray System technically acceptable by the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for shipboard applications. Specifically, there is a requirement for Portable X-Ray system (Mobilett XP Hybrid). This system is used for delicate surgical procedures on the patient?s eyes. The contractor shall provide Portable X-Ray system (Mobilett XP Hybrid) and quantitiy of 2 Operator/Service Manuals. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13.3). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 423450 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same support service. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to acquisitions@nmlc.med.navy.mil (In suject line, reference Code 023P). Statements are due by COB 31 August 07. No phone calls accepted.
