- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This proposed Contract Action is published to notify potential sources that the Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach, CA, intends to award a Sole Source contract to Abbott Laboratories to provide the following cardiac stents and related accessories in various sizes/quantities under consignment (i.e., accessible on-site for the participating facilities within VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network (VISN 22)): WAVEMAX; XCEED; XACT and XPERT. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Award will be Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract, with terms including FOB Destination and payment in arrears (following implant) on certified invoice. Vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by referencing solicitation number VA-262-07-RP-0032SD, in a written response to this notice submitted to Department of Veteran Affairs, Network 22 Logistics Office (NBC/SP), Bldg 149; 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822, Attention: Shirley Dessasure, within three (3) days of issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
