Description
PLEASE NOTE MODIFICATION: THIS SOLICITATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), has a requirement to procure the services of American Congress for Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) in Washington, DC. ACRM has worked with NICHD through National Center on Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR) the organization supporting this biennial training workshop to develop researchers in the emerging field of medical rehabilitation. The services shall include the following: (1) Provide information to prospective candidates on workshop agenda, travel, accommodations, and registration. (2)Create a database to track registration for the training workshop and for potential email updates. (3) Provide reimbursements for NICHD-supported candidates and accurately track funding balance in this contract. For these candidates, hotel billing will be handled through a master account and air and/or ground transportation will be coordinated. (4) Coordinate room-sharing options for NICHD-sponsored candidates (if requested by participants). (5) Enter and confirm meeting registrations, with special confirmation sent to NICHD-supported participants. (6) Provide support for a limited number of poster presentations from workshop participants, including coordination and editing of abstract submissions, preparation of an abstract volume, and providing a venue for poster displays at the ACRM-ASNR meeting. (7) Provide meeting space and logistical support for the NICHD workshop with potential seating for 150 participants, as integrated into the larger ACRM-ASNR meeting; this includes on site registration table, workshop hand-outs, name badges, and necessary audio-visual support. ACRM has previously worked with NICHD to provide meeting space and logistical support to conduct meeting such as this. ACRM has experience in serving as the primary point of contact for registration, travel, and accommodations; directly reimbursement of NICHD candidates, providing access to an interactive website for resource material and additional information; providing on-site support for workshops. This acquisition is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. However, this solicitation is not set aside for small business. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NICHD-08-001 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Two Democracy Plaza, Room 765C, Bethesda, MD 20817 Attention: Tina Robinson. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
