- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 12) to procure Talan Digital Telephone & Line Analyzer by the HQ USAINSCOM, Directorate of Contracting, ATTN: IAPC-D OC, 8825 Beulah Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5246. The Govt intends to award a sole source contract (FAR Part 13.5) for the above products and services to the firm of Research Electronics International (REI). Note: This firm is the sole provider of this product for the Department of Defense. The Proposed contract action is for a product for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisf y the agency requirements. DELIVERY: 15 October 2007. All responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/contra ct based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For specific questions, please contact Mr . Bruce R.
