Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 13) to procure Integrated Ballistics Identification System (IBIS)  TRAX 3D. The Government intends to award a sole source contract (FAR Part 13.5) for the above product to the firm of Forensic Technology WAI, Inc., 5757 Cavendish Blvd., Suite 200, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H4W 2W8. Note: This firm is the sole developer as well as sole manufacturer/distributor of this IBIS. The proposed contract action is for system, maintenance and technical support for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisf y the agency requirements. DELIVERY: 01 October 2007. All responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/con tract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
