Description

The Northern Region Contracting Center, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Eustis, VA, intends to award a contract to purchase an existing 39,000 square foot modular facility at Homestead AFB, FL. Facility features include cinder block foundation, fir e suppression system, HVAC, carpet, interior walls, office space, auditorium and meeting rooms, electrical and lighting, and LAN and secure communication cabling. All modular buildings must meet applicable local building codes. Delivery is required withi n two weeks after contract award. This action does not provide for full and open competition. Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Wil l Satisfy Agency Requirements. The intended source is Comark Building Systems Inc, DeSoto TX. Comark is the only known source that can provide a modular facility with the required features within the required timeframe and with no mission impact. Firms th at feel they can provide a comparable modular building within the required timeframe and without impacting the mission are encouraged to identify themselves and provide a statement of their capabilities for consideration by the Government. The Government will consider all inquiries received by the due date. A solicitation will be released once it is available.
