- Description
- The Government (88 CONS/PKA) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). The proposed source is: VMETRO, Houston, TX. The item being procured is an INSTRUMENTATION RECORDING SYSTEM (components for Radio Frequency Research): Item 1. FPDP/FPDPII with LVDS Data Recorder with Playback, Dual 2Gbs Fibre Channel (Quantity: 1 each); Item 2. 2Gbs Optical FC JBOD 2U 19 inch Chassis with 12X300GB 10K RPM Special Disk Drives (Quantity: 1 each); and Item 3. Specially modified Seagate FC Disk Drives, 10K RPM, 300GByte, 1 inch High (Quantity: 6 each). This notice is being published for information purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any quotations received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
