Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is looking for Architect/Engineer firms certified in the following programs: SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HubZone, WOSB, and/or SDB. The AE firm must be approved under NAICS Code 541320, Landscape Architect or NAICS Code 541330, Civil Engineer, with a small business size standard of $4.5 million and must have experience designing cemetery facilities with a project value of about $13 million. The project site is located at the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA. The AE must have an established working office within a 100 mile radius of Kent, WA. The project scope includes: Prepare design documentation for the Phase II build-out, approximately 20 acres, of the site. Included, but not limited to, as part of the design will be: access roads; 4,800 full-casket gravesites including 800 traditional burial sites and installation of approximately 4,000 pre-placed crypt gravesites in newly developed sections; approximately 1,900 in-ground, garden niche, or terrace sites along with approximately 13,000 columbaria niches; grading, drainage, and fencing; irrigation system; Global Positioning System (GPS) site integration; roadway system along with parking to allow visitors to access redeveloped Sections 1-4; interment areas (burial sections) - installation of approximately 6,000 pre-placed crypt sections in existing sections (1-4) developed during Phase I; main entrance area gate repairs and improvements; curb and gutter (approximately 750 linear feet) to correct drainage issues; replace site furnishings/ receptacles; drainage corrections in existing sections of cemetery; landscaping in new and existing sections; LEED improvements in buildings; and finally, wetland preservation and mitigation. Construction documents and construction period services shall be awarded at the option of the government based on availability of funds. If your firm can answer YES to all of the above (1.
