- This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to the Adaptive Digital Systems. The intended contract will provide for continued covert solid state audio and video recorders in a variety of configurations. Due to the extremely small size, programming capabilities, and recording capacity coupled with video resolution the solid state integrated circuit recorders provided by Adaptive Digital Systems are not easily compromised. Adaptive Digital Systems designs, develops, and manufactures these recorders whose size, capability, and power efficiency are not duplicated elsewhere in the industry. Further Adaptive Digital Systems holds all proprietary rights to the required equipment. As a result Adaptive Digital Systems is the only responsible source to provide the necessary equipment to support DEA covert operations.
