The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for dockside repairs to be performed at NOAA Marine Operations Center Atlantic in Norfolk, VA. The performance period will be 49 calendar days with a start date on or about November 20, 2007 and ending on or about January 8, 2008. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship HENRY B. BIGELOW, a 209 foot, 49.2 ft beam (molded); propulsion is single screw, cruising speed 14 knots; crew size of 39. Vessel's homeport is Woods Hole, MA. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract using sealed-bid (IFB) procedures in FAR Part 14. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency.
