- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS) intends to procure twelve (12) months maintenance service, upgrades, and technical support for the FG5 #102 Absolute Gravimeter based at the NOAA Table Mountain Gravity Observatory (TMGO). Maintenance service, as required, will be provided for the test mass drive mechanism, laser optics and beam path, the super spring mass and detector system, and the system controller. Maintenance service shall also be provided for the timing system and the dropper, super spring, and interferometer and laser controllers, and any optional systems such as the rotation monitor if installed on the FG5 gravimeter. Technical support shall be provided to diagnose any problems in properly setting up and operating the FG5 gravimeter and recommending parts replacements to ensure operations within specifications. The most current upgrades developed by the manufacturer, MICRO-G Lacost Inc. shall be installed in the FG5 gravimeter. The responding contractors must be authorized by MICRO-G to provide maintenance service, upgrades, and technical support to the FG5 gravimeter. Any contractor possessing the capabilities to provide the required services may submit a price quotation and a statement of capabilities which, if timely received, will be considered by NOAA. Responses must be received by September 6, 2007. Responses must be emailed to Sandra.K.Souders@noaa.gov. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 52.213-4, Terms and Conditions - Simplified Acquisitions (Other Than Commercial Items) (Apr 2005).
