- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition, a contract for the removal and repair of existing orange instrumentation wiring on AH-1W aircraft to Bell Aerospace Services, Inc., Bedford, Texas 76021. The removal and repair of wiring will provide aircraft weight reduction and removal of equipment obstructing the cockpit area. Bell Aerospace Services possess the expertise, and access to original wiring diagrams, power information, and associated technical data packages; they also have the unique skill set that can be used to diagnosis and troubleshoot the existing AH-1W wiring across the multiple avionic boxes in the aircraft and ensure the safe removal of the wiring while minimizing risk of downloading the aircraft for significant time periods. The period of performance is 12 months after receipt of order. Any firms believing that they can provide the product may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm?s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the product without causing programmatic hardship.
