- Description
- The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 to Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC), 1250 Eye Street, NW, Washington, DC. ITI will provide limited use standards licenses. ITI will provide 50 standards identified by NGA within the licensing activity. These standards specify, for geographic information, methods, tools and services for data management (including definition and description), acquiring, processing, analyzing, accessing, presenting and transferring such data in digital/electronic form between different users, systems and locations. The standards increase the understanding and usage of geographic information; increase the availability, access, integration, and sharing of geographic information; and promote the efficient, effective, and economic use of digital geographic information and associated hardware and software systems. The InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS), being accredited by ANSI, is the sole source for United States adopted Geospatial ISO Standards. Interested parties have fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this Synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact (POC) clear and convincing evidence of their qualifications and/or capabilities. Such qualifications and/or capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after fifteen (15) days or without required information will be considered non-responsive to this Synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to either conduct or not conduct this effort as a full and open competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
