- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a VACUUM BAKE/VAPOR PRIME SYSTEM FOR PREPARATION OF SEMICONDUCTOR WAFERS FOR PROCESSING (SEE ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Yield Engineering Systems. Yield Engineering Systems is the only company that manufactures a batch vacuum bake/vapor prime system. The Authority is 13.106(b), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement will be processed using Simiplified Acquisition Procedures as set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 10, 2007 in writing to Jonnelle Goff, via e-mail at Jonnelle.C.Goff@nasa.gov, 301-286-9159(fax), or by Mail: NASA/GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER MAIL CODE 210.3/JONNELLE GOFF GREENBELT, MD 20771 Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
