- Description
- In accordance with FAR 6.3002-1, the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection intends to procure on a sole-source basis from Vistacom, Allentown, PA, a projector and screen installed in the multimedia room at the Disaster Management Zone at 7400 Fullerton Road, Springfield, VA 22153. Only Vistacom owns the code to the equipment system in the multimedia room. Using another vendor would either produce a lack of compatibility with other equipment in the system or require that the total system be recoded at greatly added time and expense to the Government. CBP intends to award within 10 days of the date of this notice. This is not a request for quotes; however, sources that feel that they also are capable of fulfilling these requirements may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities within 7 days of publication of this notice. This information may also be considered for future procurements. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and may be sent via email to susan.wallace@dhs.gov or faxed to her attention at 317-298-1344. No phone calls will be accepted. If no other responses are received, award will be made on 9/4/2007. The award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
