- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award on a sole source basis a Purchase Order to Jupitermedia Corporation ? New York, New York. The purpose of this procurement is to provide download access to a subscription photo database, which includes over 600,000 royalty-free images for use by 80 plus artists for all agency work. Collections include: Ablestock, Brand X Pictures, BananaStock, Comstock Images, Creatas Images, Goodshoot, IT Stock Free, Liquidlibrary, Phots.com, PhotoObjects.net, Pixland and Thinkstock. The vendor will provide metadata on a monthly basis and images will be available in a large format, up to 75mb. Jupiterimages.com is the only vendor that provides unlimited download access to a subscription photo database. Jupiterimages.com is the only vendor that allows CDC to retain the rights to all downloaded images. Accordingly, Jupterimages.com is uniquely qualified and capable of carrying out the requirement of this proposed purchase order. The anticipated award date is September 10, 2007. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification, as well as, a capability statement to the contracting office by 12:00 p.m. eastern standard time September 10, 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed actions based on responses to this notice is solely within its discretion. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
