- Department of Commerce, Office of Acquisition Management and Financial Assistance, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with CACI, Inc. ? Federal to provide systems engineering support, readiness testing, and maintenance support for the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software product Comprizon.Buy. Comprizon.Buy is a proprietary software product developed, owned, and maintained by CACI, Inc. ? Federal. No other source exists which possess CACI?s knowledge of the system and it?s contents which CACI has proprietary rights. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, responses received by September 13, 2007, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any vendors who believe they can provide the services should email or fax their company?s capabilities information to the attentaion of Virna Evans by 3:00 p.m. EST, September 7, 2007.
