- The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Regional Research Center, Food Safety Intervention Technologies Unit, intends to negotiate solely with Sono-Tek in Milton, NY, to furnish, deliver (FOB) Destination) and install one (1) Bottle and Sheet Coating System-Wide Track System. This instrument will be used to coat antimicrobial agents on the surface of films or bottles. The equipment consists of one each of Bottle and Sheet Coating System-Wide Track System, to be furnished and delivered (F.O.B. Destination within Consignee=s Premises) to the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center located in Wyndmoor, PA. The Bottle and Sheet Coating System Wide Track System consists of: 10-70 ml/min gear pump, Broad Band Generator, Air Regulation, Program Interface Control, Rotary Valve Jet Assembly, Electronics Box, Ultrasonic Nozzle. One (1) each of Benchtop Conveyor: Stand alone bench top conveyor system , Materials of construction stainless, plexi glass, and aluminum construction, stainless steel tab chain drive; 06-05108 ? Broad Band Ultrasonic Generator, Free Standing Unit 110 to 240 VAC input; 06-01087 ? Coaxial Cable, 12 Foot; 06-04229 ? 8700-60 Ultrasonic Atomizing Nozzle, Conical Tip Specifications: Nozzle # Q060-4-26-17-353-040-Liquid to contact with Titanium (Ti-6AL-4V) and 316 Stainless Steel. Flow rate 0.2 ml/sec (0.2 gph) maximum using water at room temperature and pressure; 12-05126 ? Syringe Pump System, CE Mark (110v); Syringe, 25ml Gas Tight; 10-00031 ? 1/8 O.D. Teflon FEP Tubing (10 ft.). This system and the qualifications meet our research needs to develop antimicrobial packaging films and bottles to ensure safety of solid and liquid foods. The system will be one of our important research tools to help us to accomplish research mission, and will generate more collaborations with industries and universities. Companies with the demonstrated capability of providing this equipment must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment=s component=s and availability. The statement and literature must be submitted to the Contracting Office Address within 5 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
