- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Dept., Philadelphia Office intends to acquire, under Hewlett Packard?s GSA schedule, nine (9) ea. HP ProLiant DL585 G2 Servers for Standing Joint Force Headquarters, US Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, VA. The purpose of this synopsis, pursuant to FAR SAP procedures, is to apprise that the configuration of each of the servers to be acquired includes the following open market items that the Government intends to include within the GSA order for the Servers. Slim Line CD-RW/DVD-ROM 24X Combo Drive Option Kit; 348114-001, Redundant power supply ? 910/1300W hot plug redundant power supply (NEMA); and AD168A, HP StorageWorks FC2243 Dual Channel 4 GB PCI-X 2.0 DC HBA The acquisition of the open market items is to be processed on a sole source basis because each of the HP servers needs to be configured with the above specified open market items prior to delivery to the Government. The Government intends to issue a single firm-fixed-price GSA order that includes the above open market items. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS, however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date, and the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. Any responses to this synopsis should be sent to the attention of George Kozak, Code 270.2A and reference this notice. The applicable NAICS code for the requirement is 334112 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees.
