(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; pro posals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is W911QX-07-T-0250. This acquisition is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-16, dated March 22, 2007. (iv) The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the re quirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopisis will be considered by the Government. A determination b y the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a compe titive procurement. This acquisition is a sole source to L-3 Communications Titan Corporation, Pulse Sciences, 2700 Merced Street, San Leandro, CA 94577. The associated NAICS code is 333319, FSC code is 6525 and the SIC code} is 3825. The small business size standard is 500. (v) Description: The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure: CLIN0001 150kv flash x-ray system with 1mm spot size p/n special-option-#1015 1 each, CLIN 0002 add on channel 150 kv flash x-ray with 1mm spot size p/n special-option-#1016 3 each, CLIN 0003 soft x-ray kit: with 1 mm spot size p/n special-option-#1014 4 each, CLIN 0004 straight line remote tubehead modification p/n 43731a-#032 4 each, CLIN 0005 150kv single x-ray tube 1mm spot size p/n 1 30-529000-1mm 2 each, CLIN 0006 150kv soft x-ray tube 1mm spot size p/n 130-529500-1mm 2 each and CLIN 0007 shipping 1 each. (vi) Delivery is required 30 days after award of contract although offerors may propose an alternative delivery date, which may be considered. Delivery shall be made to US Army Research Laboratory, Shipping & Receiving BLDG 434, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, APG MD 21005-5001 and acceptance shall be performed at the same address. The FOB point is origin. (vii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this provision: None. (viii) The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items is not applicable to this acquisition. (ix) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -Commercial Items, with its offer.
