- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an intention to Sole Source. The instrument listed below is the only known instrument which works in conjunction with a field air sampler for live time qualitative data. Similar instruments are employed by deployed Air Force Radiation Assessment Teams (AFRAT). Field analyses performed by the set laboratory and the deployable Unit Type Code (UTC) should remain consistent. With the purchase of this instrument, training and routine analyses can be performed by the technicians assigned to the set laboratory and the AFRAT UTC. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-18 (30 Jun 2007) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20070802. It is the offeror?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is for the purchase of 1 each stock number 6525L000012 ? Portable Alpha/Beta Counting System consisting of: 1 each model number SOLO300G ? iSOLO Alpha/Beta Counter, 300 UM-2000 MM2 PIPS Detector, with Guard Detector; 1 each model number SH-47MM ? Sample Holder for 47MM Loose Filter Media; 1 each model number SH-STD ? Standard Insert for any Non Filter Sample; 1 each model number iSOLO-BT ? NI Metal Hydride High Capacity Battery PK; 1 each model number S5E-PR1 ? Dot Matrix Line Printer; 1 each model number Special ? Shipping Case for iSOLO unit. The NAICS Code is 334516; size standard is 500 employees. The type contract anticipated is firm-fixed price. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
