- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an intention to Sole Source. The instrument listed below is being purchased to support the Air Force Radiation Assessment Team (AFRAT) for Continental United States (CONUS) contingency operations, training, and set laboratory. The using organization currently utilizes similar instruments in deployable Unit Type Codes (UTCs). As a certified laboratory, the National Laboratory Accreditation Conference has requirements that radiological data remain consistent. Field analyses between the set laboratory and deployable UTCs must remain consistent. Utilizing equipment with the same utilities ensures results are accurately reported. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-18 (30 Jun 2007) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20070802. It is the offeror?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is for the purchase of 1 each stock number 6665L000635 ? Portable Gamma Spectroscopy System consisting of : 1 each model number GR3019 ? Coaxial Reverse Electrode Germanium Detector; 1 each model number CP-5SL ? Cryo Pulse 5 Electrically Refrigerated Cryostat; 1 each model number CBIF-X13129-5 Panasonic Toughbook 29; 1 each model number CBIF-X13129-6 Panasonic Optical Drive for Model 29; 1 each model number ISOXCAL ? ISOCS/LABSOCS Characterization for New CI Detector; 1 each model number 1300 ? Inspector 2000 DSP Portable MCA; 1 each model number Special ? Shipping Case for Detector/Controller/Inspector MCA; 1 each model number S520 ? Right to Copy all Genie 2000 Software. The NAICS Code is 334516; size standard is 500 employees. The type contract anticipated is firm-fixed price. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
