- The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with The Math Works, Inc, 3 Apple Hill Drive, Natick, MA 01760. This acquisition is proprietary in nature and is for software and software maintenance agreements. This is a streamline combined/synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. IAW FAR Part 19, this requirement is a 100% small-business set-aside This notice constitutes the only notice. A written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is issued a request for quote to The Math Works. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. The NAICS Code is 423430; size standard 100 employees IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304c (1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1 ? Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A Firm Fixed Priced Award will be made. SOLE SOURCE NATURE OF ACQUISITION: This requirement is for the purchase of MATLAB software. Specifically, five (5) copies each of the following software will be acquired: MATLAB (Part #MLALL), Curve Fitting Toolbox (Part# CFALL), Database Toolbox (Part#), Genetic Algorithm & Direct Search Toolbox (Part# GDALL), Neural Network Toolbox (Part# NNALL), Optimization Toolbox (Part#OPALL), and Statistics Toolbox (Part #STALL). All software shall include first year software maintenance service. Additionally, five (5) of the following maintenance agreements for the period of 1 September 2007 through 1 October 2008, will be acquired: MATLAB (Part #SUBML) , Curve Fitting Toolbox(Part# SUBCF), Database Toolbox (Part#SUBDB), Genetic Algorithm & Direct Search Toolbox (Part# SUBGD), Neural Network Toolbox (Part# SUBNN), Optimization Toolbox (Part#SUBOP), and Statistics Toolbox (Part # SUBST). Due to the proprietary nature of the software all purchases, including maintenance agreements must be acquired from The Mathworks.
