- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on behalf of and as an agent of the Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 797-DSNS-0711 for Ciprofloxacin 500mg tablets in bottles of 100 each. The period of performance will as stated in the following delivery schedule: 1st Delivery no later than December 1, 2007; 1,209,600 Bottles of 100 each 2nd Delivery no later than January 1, 2008; 937,790 Bottles of 100 each Offeror's must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed letter of commitment between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer. VA/DSNS reserves the right to add additional package sizes to the contract at a later date, when they become available or if offered in a vendor's proposal. This will not affect the quantities listed in the usage requirements. Solicitation No 797-DSNS-0711 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about August 29, 2007, with a closing date of September 14, 2007. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
