- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to Vocus Inc. for the renewal of eight (8) subscription seats. Vocus is implemented as a web-based government relations database system to manage information and to log significant contact with members of Congress and their staff. Vocus is primarily managed off-site and operates on a subscription basis. Vocus enables the FHWA staff to update changes in the congressional membership staff without having to monitor the database. Vocus has the ability to provide the required legislative data and staff activities along with being able to maintain a database that continually works with Congress on reauthorization of the Federal-aid programs Additionally, Vocus provides the capability to store and retrieve data as necessary. Because of the unique capability Vocus has in being able to maintain the subscription seats and database they are the only known source who can provide the service. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is September 7, 2007.
