- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to extend the date for receipt of proposals from August 24, 2007 to September 4, 2007. This notice was originally posted on July 19, 2007. Due to technical difficulties, this notice is being reissued with the solicitation. The USDA, Farm Service Agency and Foreign Agricultural Service, seeks a qualified contractor to conduct a comprehensive review of the specifications and quality testing protocols supporting food products used in the administration of the United States Food Aid Program. Specifically, contractor services are needed for the review and revision, if necessary, of the following four (4) existing categories of commodity specifications: --Milled, blended and fortified products --Milled, enriched, products --Whole grain products --Other products, i.e., buckwheat, bulk oil and tallow, dehydrated potato products, dehydrated soup mix, non-fortified nonfat dry milk, canned pink salmon, and bulk soybean meal. Contractor services are also needed for the development of statistically sound sampling protocols for each blended or processed food aid product; and the development of standardized, scientifically sound laboratory testing protocols that could be used by private or United States Government laboratories to determine whether products acquired by USDA meet contract specifications. An electronic copy of Solicitation No. AG-3151-S-07-0032 will be posted through the GPE on or about Friday, August 3, 2007; Written e-mail responses are due by C.O.B. September 4, 2007. The Government expects to award a firm fixed-priced Performance Based Service Contract. This is a full and open competitive requirement. The NAICS code is 541710.
