- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for: 1) QTY 8 XTA3320R01A1K1500 Sun StorageTek(TM) 3320 SCSI Array Rack Ready, 1500GB (5 * 300GB 15Krpm SCSI drives) includes 1 * Ultra320 SCSI RAID controller, 512MB cache, and 2 * AC power supplies. 2) QTY 8 XTA-3320-CTRL-512M Sun StorEdge(TM) 3320 Ultra320 SCSI RAID Controller; 512MB cache and battery; (RoHS-5) 3) QTY 46 X311L Localized Power Cord Kit North American/Asian RoHS compliant. 4) QTY 13 XTA3320R00A0K1500 Sun StorageTek(TM) 3320 Rack Ready, 1500GB (5 * 300GB 15Krpm SCSI drives), Ultra320 SCSI-JBOD, and 2 * AC power supplies; (RoHS-5) 5) QTY 2 XTA3320R01A2T365 Sun StorEdge(TM) 3320 SCSI Array Rack Ready, 365GB (5 x 73GB 10Krpm SCSI drives) w/2 Ultra320 SCSI RAID controllers, 512MB cache, and 2 AC power supplies; (RoHS-5) 6) QTY 23 XTA-3000-2URK-19UZ Sun StorEdge(TM) 3000 2U universal rack, sliding rail kit; (RoHS-5) 7) QTY 119 XTA-SC1NC-300G15K 1 * 300GB 15Krpm U320 SCSI LVD disk drive in Sun StorageTek(TM)3000 carrier; (RoHS-5) 8) QTY 50 XTA-SC1NC-73G10K RoHS-6; Disk drive in Sun StorEdge(TM) 3000 carrier, 73GB 10Krpm, U320 SCSI LVD 9) QTY 20 X3830B-Z Cable, SCSI VHDCI/VHDCI, 68-pin, 4m; (RoHS-6) The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 84-38. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 423430 AND 100 respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by 8/21/2007 to MONICA PRICE and must include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (SEPT 2006), Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporated by reference. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall list the country of origin. FAR 52.212-4 (FEB 2007), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items is applicable. The FAR may be obtained via the Internet at URL: http://www.acquisition.gov/far/index.html The NFS may be obtained via the Internet at URL: http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/procurement/regs/nfstoc.htm All contractual and technical questions must be in writing (e-mail or fax) to MONICA PRICE not later than 8/15/2007. Telephone questions WILL NOT be accepted. Selection and award will be made to that offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government, with consideration given to the factors of proposed technical merit, price, and past performance. Other critical requirements: such as Delivery shall also be considered. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer. (SEE FAR 52.212-1(b)). Offerors must include completed copies of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with their offer. These may be obtained via the internet at URL: http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/eps/Templates/Commercial_Greater_Than_25K.doc . These representations and certifications will be incorporated by reference in any resultant contract. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
