- Description
- The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command anticipates issuing a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), sole source contract to Alion Science and Technology, 1901 N Beauregard St., Suite 400, Alexandria, VA 22311. This effort is to build, integrate, re-compile an d test the upgraded addition of 1 meter imagery of the De-Militarized Zone (DMZ)to the existing Korean database utilizing the PC Image Generations systems currently installed on all fielded BLACK HAWK (UH-60) Full Flight Simulators, Transportable BLACK HAW K Operational Simulator (TBOS), and Chinook (CH-47) Full Flight Simulators. Based on the widespread fielding of the UH-60 and CH-47 Simulators, Alion Science and Technology is the only capable contractor for implementing this effort. This effort requires knowledge of the existing fleet of simulators and their proprietary system interfaces. Alion Science and Technology owns the proprietary technical/software tools to add or change the existing databases, which enables the databases to function on the 77 ex isting Image Generators.
